Bush disgusted of jail photos

The Arab League, Red Cross, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and UN Secretary General Kofi Annan joined Mr Bush in condemning the alleged actions of US soldiers at Abu Gharib prison.

“I didn’t like it one bit.”, Mr. Bush said.

The photographs included one showing a prisoner standing on a box with a hood over his head and wires attached to his hands. CBS said he had been told he would be electrocuted if he fell off. Other pictures showed nude prisoners lying on each other and simulating sex acts as smiling US troops pointed and laughed.

Brigadier General Janis Karpinski, the general in charge of the US-run prison system in Iraq, has been suspended and is under investigation over the alleged abuse.

The photos were aired by leading Arab satellite news channels today, with a presenter for Qatar-based Al-Jazeera saying they showed “the unethical and inhuman” conduct of the American soldiers.
