CHINA IN AFRICA

Det NORAD finansierte seminaret tar sikte på å sette kritiske søkelys på konsekvenser av Kinas økende økonomisk, diplomatisk og militær innflytelse på det Afrikanske kontinentet. I januar 2006 lanserte Kina en ny Afrika-strategi der Beljing peker ut gjensidig avhengighet og solidaritet via handel som hovedfokus.

Handelen mellom Kina og Afrika har økt betraktelig (med over 300 % siden 2000 ), og over 1000 kinesiske selskaper er i dag representert på forskjellige sektorer på kontinentet.

På seminaret er internasjonale forskere, representanter fra frivillige organisasjoner og mange eksperter på dette område både fra det Afrikanske kontinentet og Europa. Blant foredragsholdere er;
